Our Team

Jeff
Owner & Instructor
Jeff has been surfing for over 40 years in many parts of the world, beginning as a teen playing
on make shift boards in the cold Nova Scotia waters. In 1998, with a family to care for, he
decided to remain in Nova Scotia, opened his surf business and began sharing his passion with
others, teaching surfing in the summers. Over the course of a few years, Jeff was a manager
for the Juniors Team Canada, taking local youth as part of the Team Canada to compete in the
World Surfing Games as far as Portugal, France and California. Now as a retired PE teacher,
he is happy to continue sharing his passion with others, seeing the thrill and joy as each new
person gets to experience the thrill of riding that wave!
Sam
Instructor
Sam has been enthralled by the ocean since infancy. The offspring of an ocean engineer and a marine biologist, he was immersed in the science of exploration of the sea. Initially terrified of swimming, seeing his father surf at the age of ten broke that curse and has been surfing ever since. Education and learning has been a mainstay of Sam's life. With a PhD in physics and an educator for the last decade, he couldn't be happier to bring his experience and passion for education and the ocean together by working with the crew at Rossignol Surf Shop.

Anna
Shop Attendant
Anna is going into grade 12 at Liverpool Regional High School. She first learned how to surf at the Rossignol Kids Camp in 2021, which inspired her to come and work for the shop. This is her second summer working at Rossignol Surf Shop and she’s excited to meet new people and keep learning about the surf community and culture!
Outside of work, Anna stays busy through athletics. She plays soccer, volleyball, badminton, golf, field hockey, and softball, where she has won multiple awards and has captained many of her teams. She writes for the Queens Crown Newspaper every month and she enjoys being a part of her school community. She also loves spending time outdoors whenever she can.
Whether she’s at the shop or by the ocean, Anna enjoys meeting new people and sharing her interest in surfing with everyone who stops by.
